The meeting with passionate student Emira Selimi, an Albanian from North Macedonia, was both emotional and inspiring. She has undertaken a noble and unusual initiative: establishing the first Albanian library in the historic city of Bitola.
Mr. Geron Ibrahimi, the director of the National Youth Agency, expressed his special pleasure in hosting such a young girl with an extraordinary initiative, highlighting the national significance and delicacy of her project.
The National Youth Agency will ensure support for Emira to help her carry out her mission to completion.
With 35,000 books gathered from every Albanian region, the library will fill the halls of the city library in Bitola.
Undeterred by the numerous challenges that have often caused her health issues, Emira remains steadfast in her commitment to preserving the Albanian language in the city where the Albanian alphabet was created, determined to safeguard the Albanian cultural heritage at all costs.
