Presentation of the budget project for the year 2025.

In the Commission for Education and Public Information, as well as in the Commission for Labor, Social Affairs, and Health, the draft budget for the upcoming year was presented. This is a budget that is not just a sum of figures, but a collection of additional opportunities for young people. With a 54% increase compared to the previous year, this budget guarantees sustainable support for our youth policies and investments in several cities across the country, creating environments where our young people can develop their skills.

Support for youth is 54% higher than the current budget and focuses on:
• Support for young people through youth organizations and for youth, in line with the objectives of the National Youth Strategy.
• Investments in youth infrastructure.
• Non-formal education that contributes to the development of skills and the professional preparation of young people.
• Initiatives for empowering young people through training and opportunities for active engagement in society and the country’s economy.
• Support for talented young people in competitions, performances, and olympiads abroad, so that participation costs do not become a burden for their families or hinder these talents from representing the country with dignity.
• The Community Initiatives Program, which aims to provide support for small project ideas coming from young people or members of Youth Volunteer Centers (KVRs), based on the areas where they live.
• The professional internship program for young people, which creates opportunities for skill development and integration into the labor market.
• Extracurricular activities that offer opportunities for the social and personal development of young people.
• Initiatives for developing coding skills and financial education, to prepare young people for the challenges of the digital economy and enable them to manage financial resources responsibly.

In addition to these funds, we have also secured additional support from various donors.

This additional financial and institutional support in the youth sector reflects significant attention to the development of youth policies, offering concrete opportunities for the empowerment and integration of young people in Albania, and creating opportunities for professional, educational, and social development.
