Following the National Youth Strategy, as well as within the framework of the MSYC initiative "Youth in the Community," aimed at promoting volunteerism and facilitating engagement in volunteerism, the inter-institutional working group convened to begin work on amending the volunteerism law.
This inter-institutional group, with representation from the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, the National Youth Agency, the National Employment and Vocational Training Agency, the National Agency for Vocational Education and Qualifications, and the General Directorate of Taxes, will review and update the volunteerism law to adapt it to the needs and changes in this sector.
Young people are the ones who engage the most in volunteerism, firstly to make a direct contribution to the community, to further develop their skills, and to create a strong network of connections that will serve them throughout their lives.
Therefore, the contribution of young people and civil society will be essential in advancing the process of reviewing the volunteerism law.
