The National Youth Agency (NYA) organized an activity in Berat with young people, members of the Local Youth Council, and representatives of local institutions, during which the Manual and the Guide for the Establishment and Functioning of Local Youth Councils (LYCs) were presented.
These important documents for the development of youth policies and the empowerment of young people were drafted by World Vision Albania in cooperation with the National Youth Agency, in line with the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027. They reflect the latest amendments to the Law “On Youth” and are fully harmonized with the National Youth Strategy and its Action Plan 2022–2029.
During the training, young people from Berat were introduced to the role of the Manual and the Guide as practical tools for strengthening youth participation in decision-making, improving democratic governance, and promoting the principles of the rule of law, particularly at the local level.
