AKR in the HARMONY Project: European Cooperation to Promote and Protect Young People’s Mental Health

Young people’s mental health remains a priority that requires cooperation, commitment, and concrete action.

Within the framework of the HARMONY project, the National Youth Agency participated in the third transnational meeting, held in Vilnius, Lithuania, together with its European partners. In cooperation with the United Right Foundation, good practices implemented by public authorities to promote and protect young people’s mental health were presented.

Over the course of three days, the activities focused on several key areas:

  • Progress of the HARMONY project, priorities for the upcoming semester, and the proposed action plan.

  • Visit to the Vilnius Public Health Bureau, where participants exchanged good practices and experiences on mental health promotion, stress management, and psychological resilience.

  • Visit to the Republican Centre for Addictive Disorders, to learn more about outpatient treatment practices for addiction among children and adolescents.

  • Exchange of experiences at Antakalnis School, focusing on the prevention of problematic social media use and violence.

On World Mental Health Day, the National Youth Agency highlights the importance of awareness, prevention, and support for young people, while encouraging the creation of safe and inclusive spaces where every young person feels heard, valued, and supported.

Taking care of mental health is just as important as taking care of physical health. Through cooperation and joint commitment, we can contribute to young people’s well-being and help build an environment where every young person has the opportunity to grow and fulfil their potential.
