The second day of the youth cultural exchange, “Heritage Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,” at the Archaeological Park of Apollonia and the Fortress of Bashtova

“Heritage Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,”

The Archaeological Park of Apollonia was the first stop on the second day for the youth from Albania and Kosovo as part of the youth exchange program.

Through this visit, they were able to touch the ancient stones of Apollonia, which offers not only antiquity and archaeological heritage but also a calm and attractive natural environment.

Some of the archaeological sites and statues that have been preserved, the museum located within the Monastery, the Byzantine church, various monuments, and the surrounding wall, are historical evidence of this unique archaeological park with special values.

Another cultural treasure, the Fortress of Bashtova, was the second stop for the youth group.
Also considered a castle, this rare fortress is the only one in the Balkans built in a plain.

With a magnificent natural panorama and the surroundings of the fortress still intact, this cultural monument bears witness to the traces of civilization and culture.
