The National Youth Agency, in cooperation with World Vision Albania, a long-standing and trusted strategic partner, launched two key documents aimed at strengthening youth policies in Albania: the Manual and Guidelines for the Establishment and Functioning of Local Youth Councils (LYCs).
These documents have been developed in line with the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027, reflect the latest amendments to the Law “On Youth”, and are fully aligned with the National Youth Strategy and Action Plan 2022–2029.
The Manual and the Guidelines serve as practical tools to enhance youth participation, strengthen democratic governance, and promote the principles of the Rule of Law, with a particular focus on the local level.
The launch event highlighted the importance of empowering Local Youth Councils as formal mechanisms for youth representation, consultation, and engagement in decision-making processes, in accordance with European Union values and the requirements of the EU accession process.
The cooperation between the National Youth Agency and World Vision Albania continues to stand as an example of trust, commitment, and a shared vision for building sustainable, inclusive, and youth-centered policies.
