“Paths of Youth – 2030”, National Youth Day, a Celebration of Engagement and Vision for the Future

The Pyramid of Tirana was transformed into a symbolic space for youth engagement on National Youth Day, gathering hundreds of young people on a day that commemorates a key moment in Albania’s history. December 1990 remains a milestone for the transformative role of youth, who ignited a light that continues to guide the country toward a freer, more democratic, and European Albania.

The National Youth Agency continues to play a leading role in guaranteeing the rights of young people, strengthening active participation, and consolidating institutional cooperation. Through initiatives such as the “Youth Talent Program,” the National Work Placement Program, and public investments in youth centers across the country, new opportunities are being created for personal and professional development, creativity, and the building of civic identity. At the same time, youth dialogue structures in 61 municipalities and at the central level ensure that the voices of young people remain a sustainable part of the decision-making process.

These initiatives are aligned with the objectives of the National Youth Strategy and comply with European Union standards, supported by international partners and programs such as “EU for Youth.” Today’s and tomorrow’s Albania relies on the energy, talent, and commitment of young people, who are increasingly taking an active role in every initiative that contributes to the development of their communities and the country.
